"i ain't saying she a gold digger..."

"but i ain't seen her with a broke nigger." it's a song. don't judge me! i have a friend that decided after the OJ simpson trial that he would never say the "n" word. do you still do that? i love black people!!! i'm just quoting lyrics!!

i was reading a post tonight on another blog and this girl was talking about how she thinks she might be a gold digger, but on the flip side she's has a model like figure and is gorgeous. would these guys like her if she was 50lbs overweight?

when i was in west palm the other weekend we were talking with this guy and he said, "y'all are the type of girls that will only marry a guy if they have money." clearly he didn't have any.

i've always been taught that it's just as easy to love a rich man as it is to love a poor man! however, i went from having a crush on an attorney to having a crush on the marine. i have no idea if he has money or not. i assume that he doesn't, but he's adorable. have i mentioned that?

and he called the other day. i didn't mention that. it was so fun to talk to him, but he talks so fast!!!! damn yankees. i'm hoping to get to see him in october while i'm spending half the month in pennsylvania!

----------------------------------------------------------

in georgia all week at the home office. my classes have been so informative, and i could write a book on all the characters i'm in class with! i really love this company, and this week has really helped me in trying to figure out what i want to do with my life and where i want to go. i have no specifics laid down, but i feel like i'm finally honing in on a clearer goal.

in being around all these different people in this different and at time surreal enviornment, away from my familiars and my loved ones, it's taught me a lot about loving people that aren't like me or my friends. this verse in matthew 5 is helping to calm my nerves when i get aggrevated in my class...

45...for then you are working out of your true selves, your God-created selves. This is what God does. He gives his best--the sun to warm and the rain to nourish--to everyone, regardless: the good and bad, the nice and nasty. 46If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. 47If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that.

48"In a word, what I'm saying is, Grow up. You are kingdom subjects. Now live like it. Live out your God-created identity. Live generously and graciously toward others, the way God lives toward you.
