on the spitz

all that bragging about a tough immune system got me BOTH sides of the flu virus. first time i got a full week of the sore throat/coughing laced with aches and pains; had a week off then on monday got the throw up/fever aches and pains. thank GAWD that didn't last a week, because i wasn't sure i'd make it through the night - drama. but i guess that's what i get for being a bragger.

all that sickliness landed me in bed most of monday evening and all of tuesday, so there was much tv to watch in between bouts of nausea and naps. i couldn't stomach the food network, so i watched HGTV, the girls next door and the news! thanks to the new york governors scandal there was a lot of news to watch!

now i'm obsessed with this story, and just watched for 45 minutes to see him emerge from his apartment and announce his resignation. my thoughts yesterday were...

1. he wanted to get caught. if you don't want to get caught you go to No Where, North Dakota and check in with HillBilly the Desk Clerk where it wouldn't matter if you used a fake name or not, because she wouldn't know you from the farmer down the road.

2. that wife might be standing by his side, but don't hand her a knife because she looks like she is ready to KILL someone; ie- her husband!

my heart truly for his wife and the teenage daughters. i'm sure on top of being publicly embarrassed they are deeply hurt by their husband and father - a man whom they should have been able to trust.

as i listened to his speech this morning he mention Luke 12:48 - But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. he then went on to ask for prayers for the Lt. Governor.

wonder why the scripture memory didn't come mind when the ding-a-ling was spending $80,000 on hookers?
